A physician referral includes an initial assessment of the patient's needs and a referral to the physician(s) who are appropriate to the needs expressed by the patient. Matching a patient with a physician is based on:
- patient request
- physician specialty, as well as subspecialty and areas of interest
- type of insurance
- location of patient residence and location of physician's office
More than 552 physicians are part of the Health Call database.
