Ophthalmology, Eye Care, & Surgery
Stamford Hospital has a large roster of highly skilled physicians specializing in ophthalmology, all dedicated to the protection and preservation of sight. Our Ophthalmology Eye Care Center is part of the Department of Surgery and is actively involved in the medical and surgical eye health care of our community. Our ophthalmologists provide eye care treatment and consultations for the hospital emergency room, Tully Immediate Care Center and hospitalized patients. We also see patients at the outpatient clinic.
Most of our ophthalmologists have private practices where patients are seen for diagnosis and treatment. Most of Stamford Hospital's ophthalmological surgical procedures are performed on an out-patient basis at one of our three locations - Stamford Hospital's main campus, the Tully Health Center or the Wilton Ambulatory Surgical Center. At each of these locations our board-certified ophthalmologists perform state of the art cataract eye surgery and retinal procedures, as well as glaucoma, strabismus, corneal and oculo-plastic eye surgeries.
