Our technologically advanced Wound Care Center offers the latest techniques and equipment for wound healing—all on an outpatient basis.
The Highest Level of Wound Care
We utilize advanced therapeutic wound healing technologies, including both non-surgical and surgical methods. Our specialty is treating wounds that have shown little or no improvement in four weeks and have not completely healed in eight weeks. We treat patients whose wounds stem from a variety of causes, including diabetes, vascular problems, ischemia, pressure and others.
Every patient is treated by one of our expert physicians. The wound is cleansed, treated and dressed. We keep an inventory of advanced treatment options, including antimicrobial silver-based dressings. Patients learn how to care for their wounds at home and, if visiting nurse care is required, we'll help arrange it.
New, State-of-the-Art Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy
The gold standard for chronic wound healing treatment is the hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is given by specially trained physicians who oversee 100 percent oxygen, which helps fight infection and speed wound healing.
During hyperbaric oxygen treatment, you will rest comfortably in the specially-designed pressurized chamber. Patients encouraged to bring their favorite DVD's, CD's and can also watch cable TV on the chambers' dedicated TV sets. (Note: No reading materials please.) Each session lasts about two hours.

Because so many people who have diabetes suffer from non-healing wounds, our Wound Care Center is conveniently located in the same building as the Diabetes & Endocrine Center, at 1351 Washington Boulevard in downtown Stamford. The brand new Center is in an easy-to-find building in downtown Stamford, with plenty of free, on-site parking and elevator service.
