NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION UNDER THE PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR (DOL).
An application concerning the employment of one or more alien workers for the following permanent position will be filed with the Department of Homeland Security (for Schedule A positions). This Notice of Filing will be posted for 10 consecutive business days, ending between 30 and 180 days before filing the permanent labor certification application.
POSITION TITLE: STAFF NURSE
POSITION DUTIES: Provide general nursing care to patients in hospital, nursing home or similar facilities. Administer medication and treatment in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Prepare equipment and aid physician during treatment and examination of patients. Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, notifying supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatment as well as other significant incidents. Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patients. Provide emotional support to patients by recognizing, understanding and respecting their psychological, cultural, religious and economic needs. Communicate with patients, their families, peers, physician and ancillary staff to promote quality care. May serve as group leader for personnel rendering nursing care to patients.
RATE OF PAY: $ Commensurate with Experience.
The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. DOL.
