Pastoral Care

If you are a patient, or a family member or friend of a patient, the hospital chaplains are available to provide for your emotional and spiritual needs. Chaplains and volunteers from the Department of Pastoral Care provide spiritual support during the day; on-call chaplains are available nights and weekends.

To speak with the chaplain, arrange a visit, or to request a spiritual caregiver of a particular faith tradition, please call 203-276-1000, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. On evenings, holidays and weekends, ask your nurse to contact a chaplain. Your own clergyperson or faith community leader is always welcome at the hospital.

Our Interfaith Chapel is always open for prayer and meditation. Services are held during the week. All services are broadcast live on your television. The channel is posted on your TV menu screen.

If the need is urgent, please call Stamford Hospital at 276-1000 or dial "0" if you are in a patient room and ask that the chaplain be paged.
