Innovative Work Opportunities

As a registered nurse or a nurse practitioner, you understand that the care you provide to patients and their families extends beyond the job description of a registered nurse. You know there's far more to what you do than dressing wounds or checking vital signs. Your goal is to care for the whole person, not just their illness or injury.

At Stamford Hospital, we value the dedication and commitment of our nurses and nurse practitioners and offer a range of innovative work opportunities.

That's why you retrieve the favorite stuffed bunny that fell out of little Jenny's bed during the night…it's why you comfort the frightened young mother whose six-year-old is undergoing emergency surgery…and it's why you take a moment to talk with the 75-year-old widower whose children can't be with him after his hip-replacement surgery. It's all about the people. They are the reason you became a nurse.

At Stamford Hospital, we know that. And we appreciate that. So that's why we offer our nurses and nurse practitioners a range of innovative work opportunities. Not just an option for flexible scheduling, but real plusses that can make a difference in your life and your career – benefits that show how committed we are to the art and science of nursing.

Weekend Program

If you work two 12-hour weekend shifts as a nurse at Stamford Hospital, you receive medical benefits and 30 hours' pay.

Tuition Reimbursement

Generous tuition reimbursement allows our nurses to continue their education in advanced-degree programs. Stamford Hospital will reimburse students pursuing an approved course of study either 80% of their tuition bill, or $200 per credit hour, whichever is greater.
