Since 1977 the Family Medicine Residency Program has been an important part of the medical scene in Stamford, Connecticut. The faculty, residents, and staff all share enthusiasm and excitement for our dual missions of education and service. Our educational mission is multifaceted. It includes continuing medical education locally, regionally, and nationally through lectures, research, and publishing.
Resident education is our main focus and takes place in the hospital Family Medicine Center, and in the community. Students from Columbia University and other medical schools come to our residency for highly rated clerkships. Patient education takes place daily in our Family Medicine Center.
The Family Medicine Residency Program has a long history of service to the community. Although we care for all patients regardless of age, sex, marital status, ethnic background, or financial status, we have a special commitment to the underserved population of Stamford. We take pride in knowing that all of our patients receive the most compassionate, comprehensive, and competent medical care available.
We are looking for prospective residents who share our enjoyment of the educational process and our commitment to service to our patients and our community.
